For me , this is when I like to change it up ! Out with Summer Ombré hair , in with a nice rich hair color!
Red is normally my go to color , sometimes a deep violet with reddish-brown undertones. I have in the past gone the chocolate brown route or even chosen black !But whichever color I choose, it always warms me from within :)
I have 2 go-to brands for at-home hair coloring. The first is Garnier Nutrisse Cream , they have a great hair dye that came out a year or so ago that is made specifically for people with naturally darker hair ( or in my case not so naturally ) so that you get the red color you are searching for. There are a couple different hues to choose from and the avocado and shea oil extracts leave hair feeling soft. **Of course, no matter what, its always best to do a spot check to avoid chemical burns , but this brand isnt very harsh, so for me it never even tingles.**
Next brand that I know, love and trust is L'Oréal Superior Preference hair color. It has an amazing array of colors and hues to choose from and it is almost always my go-to for making my hair chocolate brown or violet. I also love L'Oréal Féria if you are looking to go black, it has different tints and they all shimmer in the light afterwards. I have found that L'Oréal does an amazing job when it comes to color kits for at-home hair coloring - They also have a salon brand that select hair salons carry if you want to stay true to the brand , but aren't brave enough to attempt your own color change :)

So whether you just want to give your natural color a boost , or change your look completely , this is the time to do it ! If you and a trusted friend are both looking to change it up , why not make an evening out of it and do each others hair ? Have fun with it and enjoy the " new " you :)
Happy Hair coloring :)
